i’d gladly see examples of what you’re talking about, but if we look at what’s happening in the music scene, for instance, it’s hard to escape the view that the past is what’s “in” in so many different genres. there’s hardly anything really innovating going on. i think the whole “ratro-mania” is particularly characteristic of the entire pop-culture, so not only music-wise, but also, for example, fashion-wise.
